BSSC is a graduate student organization at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). We promote sustainability within Bren Hall and the wider Santa Barbara community. We encourage active engagement of all Bren students. We often partner with other environmental organizations on campus to host events and programs that promote our mission and make the entire UCSB community more sustainable.
The BSSC was originally established after a realization that as Bren students, we have the knowledge and commitment to sustainability within our own lives and should share that knowledge and drive with our community. As environmental leaders we hope to initiate the changes necessary for a sustainable future. BSSC provides an outlet for student engagement in sustainable issues and the opportunity for innovative programs to reduce our impact. All ideas are welcomed and we encourage you to attend our meetings to find out more and get involved.
